    Triathlon Week 1 OVER! Start of Week 2!

    Wooo! Week 1 is over and it was a tough one! My legs were very sore and I was just mentally tired! A new respect to those tri athletes out there! I just have to keep thinking to myself… this is making me faster!

    Now the start of week 2! I did my swim and run yesterday. I am already feeling stronger in both areas. I guess I just gotta keep at it!

    Week 1 is over, week 2 is starting, and there is only 20 more weeks to go before my first tri! Exciting!

    Triathlon Week 1 Day 2

    So today I was supposed to do some hill repeats, but my good buddy Justin convinced me to go to El Dorado Park with him to do some bike racing. Now I haven’t raced in a really long time, so it was a tough day. It was a small group and it was kept at a really high pace. 

    The raced started out really fast and it was def making me tired! After the first prem lap I got dropped like a rock. So I decided to sit up and wait for the pack to come back around. The group came back around and I hopped on without a problem. Good thing the series is a training series or else I would have been SOL! Anyways the second prem lap came around and I was just sitting in the middle of the pack. Then the 2 laps to go card came out and the pace stayed the same and I was feeling good. The last lap came around and the pace picked up a little, so I decided to try and break away on this small hill. I made it about half way before the finish line and my legs gave out. I had no more left in me. I know that if I had the legs I for sure could have made it to the finish.

    Today was a good day even though I had a bad race, I don’t think I did that bad for not having raced in a while. Hopefully next week will be better

    Triathlon Week 1 Day 1

    I haven’t been posting to this thing because I haven’t had anything to blog about, but now I do! Yay!

    So I have decided to start doing triathlons. For my first triathlon I have decided to aim for something in the month of October. I have whipped up a pretty intense training schedule based on what I have read online and what people have told me. I am not sure what I am getting myself into, but I don’t really care. I have always wanted to do triathlons, so time to start training.

    Today was my first day of training for this thing and it was very tiring. I ran and swam today. The running part was not bad, but the swimming part… holy shit swimming is hard. I guess I just have to keep swimming and get faster and faster. Swimming is definitely not my forte and probably going to be the hardest thing for me to get fast at and the hardest part of the triathlon. 

    Tomorrow I will be doing some riding in the hills. Hopefully my legs are not too tired! Anyone who has ridden with me knows that hills are not my shit lol! I will keep this updated finally! Look for a post tomorrow after tomorrow’s training! Thanks!

    End of Winter Quarter

    Hey guys!

    I know I haven’t listed anything in a while, but school has been really crazy. I thought it was supposed to get easier at the end of your college career. THEY LIED! This quarter has been really rough for me and it’s probably only to get worse with the last one just around the corner. Being a bio major has been really rough. It is a giant roller coaster with its ups and downs. It is meant to tear you down and build you back up. It is one giant mental game. I couldn’t count the amount of my friends who started as bio majors and finished as bio majors on my both of my hands. I am glad I stuck it out and suffered through this all. I hope it is all worth it in the end!

    Sorry I haven’t posted anything recently, but spring break is here and now I have more time! So expect more shit! haha
